1. I read your comment about AB 1850 the Trunking bill. aka the Chris and Scott law.  I am the person that proposed this law as it was my son Chris who died that day along with his friend Scott.  The idea of this law for me was not so much as a penality but more to bring awarness to this deadly game.  The driver was unlicensed so as you can see, THAT law had no effect.  I suspect that if my son had known how deadly it was to ride in a trunk he would be here celebrating christmas with us. Prior to his death if you searched for “trunking” on the internet you would find nothing.  Now the word is out and my son’s life may save anothers.
