Hi all,

I grew up in Germany in the late ‘70s. We used to visit a candy store in Ansbach. I am trying to figure out what two of the types of candy they sold were.

The first was a sour candy with a consistancy of a sugar cube (it kind of melted away in your mouth). It was about 1"x.75"x.5” and wraped in a plastic wrapper. For a while, these candies had Smurf characters on the wrapper. They came in a few different flavors. I can remember orange, lemon, and grape… might have been more.

Ok, the second candy looked almost exactly like paper. Yeah, paper. It was ultra thin and about 8.5"x11” (no idea what the real measurement was but lets say it was a thin rectangle). It came in multiple colors but (if I remember correctly) the color did not really change the taste. Over all they tasted sort of bland rather then real sweet. You could tear it or bite it but it was flexible sort of wafer-ish. You would buy it by the sheet. Unwrapped.

Thanks a ton.
