I recently picked up a couple of the Divine line of fair trade bars. One was the White Chocolate with Strawberries and the other Hazelnut Milk Chocolate.

I enjoyed the Hazelnut bar well enough, though I didn’t find its taste superior to similar blends. It’s value ends up hinging on the fair trade designation.

Now the White Chocolate with Strawberry was really disappointing. I think the white chocolate was quite good, but those little crisp strawberry… things. Ugh. It was like dehydrated ice cream like those gimmicky space-food treats. Artificial tasting and squeaky chunks in what should be good white chocolate.

I’ll have to see if I can get the white chocolate without any additions. I’ve a feeling it would be a vast improvement. Overall I’m inclined to stick with Green & Blacks for taste.
