  1. I was at Target yesterday and my gaze fell upon a small bag of Dove candies: dark chocolate cherry caramel.  Three of my favorites things in one!  I bought them and love them.  I know your feeling about cherry flavoring, though, so I don’t know that I’d urge you to try them.  smile

  3. Any idea why I can’t find Hershey’s Marshmallow Hearts this year? Hershey’s is less then helpful, but I thought you might have some inside info.

For that matter, finding their Marshmallow Trees was impossible at Christmas.

    Thanks!

  4. I don’t know if you’ve seen them yet, but I’d be interested in your take on those new Reese’s flavored whoppers. I had them yesterday, and whileI could not stop eating them until I threw the box away, I was not sure I actually liked them. They are sort of odd.

  5. Love your blog, so fun to read!  Thanks for this info on valentines candy.  Though I must admit I don’t buy seasonal candy, I have had too many instances where the product just tasted stale.  My experience in food manufacturing has lead me to believe that the stuff is made well in advance of the season to meet the peak demand, and could be older than the “regular” candy in the same aisle.  Have you had a similar taste experience?

  7. Dose anyone remember the candy hearts that were out last year and they were just like circus peanuts. The bag had solid white hearts and solid pink hearts. For anyone who loves circus peanuts these were delicious!! I have not been able to find them anywhere them anywhere. I have been to P&C, Wegmans, Walgreens, Rite Aid, and, Kinneys to no avail? Have you seen these anywhere? I am in New York. Please Help.

  8. OMOG!  I have been looking for those pink and white hearts for several years now.  I can’t remember the name of the company who makes them and I have been craving them!  I go on the hunt every year when the vday candy comes out!  When I first found them, they were at an Eckerds Drug Store!  Would love to find more!

  10. I have been looking for those pink and white Circus Peanut hearts for several years now! I can’t find them ANYWHERE and it makes me so sad!!! They were my favorite V-day candy! :(

  11. YES, those PINK and WHITE marshmellow hearts are made by FARLEY.  They are NOT the same cheapie lame ones that Target sells now.  No, these were white hearts and pink hearts in one bag.  They are THE BEST CANDY EVER!  Everyone used to carry them.  Then I could only get them at CVS and Hobby Lobby of all places.  Now I can’t get them at either place.  I have been online trying to find them.  It makes me MAD that all we are left with is the same candy we get ALL YEAR LONG only now in valentine wrappers… LAME!!!

  12. I’m glad to see that others have been on a quest for the circus-peanut-like pink and white hearts.  CVS used to get them every Valentine’s season, but I can’t find them anymore. They were truly my favorite candy (with a taste subtly different than actual circus peanuts). If anyone finds an online source, please post it here!

  13. This is ridiculous that none of us can find them. I’m emailing Farley to see if they can shed some light. (Though its possible my indignation stems from extreme boredom following foot surgery), but I want these hearts.

  16. Anyone found these Farley hearts?  They use to carry them at big bear stores in Columbus Ohio in the late 90s…  I haven’t seen them since big bear went out of business, and like others I look for them every year!!!
