The Key to Special Dark

imageMy husband happened to be in Chicago at the same time I was (it’s a long story) and stayed at the Hyatt at McCormick place.

What was cool about it was that all the keys cards looked like this: Hershey’s Special Dark bars.

I don’t know if the other hotels had other candy-themed key cards. But I’d love to have a Lemonhead hotel key!

It’s the little touches, right?

  1. Hehe.  Lemonheads would make the cutest key card.

  2. That’s gotten me thinking of a Candy based Hotel now…

You could get into your room using your “Big Red Key Card” or your “Kit Kat Key Kard”

Then pay for your drinks at the “Tootsie Sky Bar” using your “Payday cheque book”

    Insanity!

  3. GTO - I have to admit that when I was in Vegas (this was about 10 years ago) I played the candy-themed slot machines. A whole candy casino would be pretty awesome.

  4. Lol, no doubt it would use Jolly Ranchers or Lifesavers in place of Chips.

  5. The key card is definitely the coolest thing I’ve seen all month.  That totally wins!

Candy hotel… My mind is swimming with the possibilities.  Beginning, and certainly NOT ending, with the chocolate mints on the pillows.  What are we waiting for?

  6. Somehow ‘swimming’ and chocolate’ just evoked a picture of a chocolate filled swimming pool…

  7. the downside of the candy keycard, though, is spying it in the bottom of your bag, thinking you have a candy bar lurking down there, and then...no. just a key card. ha ha!

  8. Scratch n’ Sniff key cards, perhaps.

  9. “Swimming” and “chocolate” - how about “ski jump in summer” (giant slide) and “chocolate”?  Read here (then notice the date :^): http://www.pps.org/info/newsletter/april2006/torino_summer_activity
