   This sounds like a more interesting version of the vanilla one. I was upset when they said the peanut butter flavored ones were discontinued a couple of years ago, I think those might have been the best. Root beer flavor sounds pretty delicious too though, hopefully they bring it back sometime next year.

   Even with the mediocre review, I am still going to my local See’s to find some today!  I am a sucker (pun intended) for anything pumpkin flavored.

   Cybele just had me try one of the pumpkin lollipops, and my immediate response was, “It tastes like the weird foam of a root beer float.”  That’s when she pointed out that I missed the good root beer lollipops.

   Oh well. When I picked them up, I couldn’t smell anything except for the chocolate permeating the store, either.

   At least they didn’t taste like cherry.

   I agree with you on both! I tried the Pumpkin Spice last fall and was disappointed with it….and I just adored the Root Beer. They need to make that one a regular!

   I miss the peanut butter suckers! Why did they go away? We don’t have See’s where I live so getting them is a special treat. But it hasn’t been the same since the peanut butter suckers disappeared. I agree on the chocolate assessment- blech! (OK, not nearly as eloquently worded as in the original post but I’m not a writer!). And I’m kind of meh on the other ones. Oh, how I miss the peanut butter!!

   I just ordered a couple packages of the pumpkin lollies, as well as pre-ordering the cinnamon Christmas lollies. I can’t wait to get them! I’ve always loved the chocolate and carmel versions, so how can pumpkin and cinnamon be bad?

    I just bought the cinnamon ones, and they are amazing. I def. recommend them, I bought them today, and I’ve already eaten three. I’m going to buy some more tomorrow. ^_^

    I was disappointed with the Pumpkin Lollipops. They were just kind of sweet and blah flavored. I agree with Justin about the peanut butter lollipops?they were a childhood favorite (along with just about everything else in the stores, especially the free samples).

    Some years ago See’s offered a Sarsparilla lollipop, which was quite good, too. Guess I will have to try the Root Beer to see how it compares!

    See’s Pops are the best, but I will concur with a plurality of these reviews - BRING BACK THE PEANUT BUTTER FLAVOR! 

    Excuses I got in stores has varied from: “they didn’t sell well enough” (I don’t believe that at all) to “a percentage of customers are allergic to peanuts” (that I believe, yet they still put peanuts in their chocolates).  Now I get by on their Peanut Brittle.

    Notwithstanding the lack of a Peanut Butter flavor pop, these are great candies and are like six bucks for a dozen.  Perfect office gift, stocking stuffer, whatever present for six bucks.  If you live outside See’s territory and give people See’s, it will be one of their favorite gifts, guaranteed.

    I was wondering if the Peanut Butter lolipop could be made and distributed as a special item.  Just like the rootbeer and pumpkin spice.  My 85 year old Aunt just loved these and received them every Christmas and Birthday for years.  It was such a disapointment when they stopped making them.  If you can’t put them back on your sales menu. Then PLEASE make them as a special item.  I know so many people that would want them…
