Hershey’s Cookies ‘n’ MintName: Hershey’s Cookies ‘n’ Mint
I love these bars. Well, I did when they first came out. The thing is, I’m not sure they’re out now. I checked the Hershey’s site and didn’t find any mention of the Cookies ‘n’ Mint being reintroduced ... so is this a very old bar? It was certainly dusty. (Again, I’d love it if Hershey’s started putting freshness dates on their products.) While they’re at it, the packaging is a little deceiving - it’s milk chocolate, not some sort of green stuff like the picture shows. That aside, when these were out and widely available I preferred the “nuggets” format. I don’t know why, but the flat bar didn’t make the crunchy parts sing as well. I think the surface area isn’t good for the chocolate either, I think it makes it all more prone to temperature changes. But I digress. This is a minted milk chocolate bar with small chocolate cookie bits (think of the cookie part of an oreo crumbled into minty chocolate). It’s a great combination. I think the crunch provides a nice contrast, and the fact that the cookie isn’t terribly sweet offsets the sweetness of the milk chocolate. I hope this bar gets reintroduced or at least the nuggets will be available for a limited time every year. If you like this bar, I suggest the Harry London Cookie Joys as an excellent substitute. I like these two. A great Halloween candy in the nugget size. One of the better mass produced chocolates.
I really hope they at least bring back the nuggets every fall.

I haven’t had this newer mint bar, but used to LOVE LOVE LOVE the original version in the 1990s, the Hershey’s Chocolate Mint bar. If I can find this newer one, I will certainly buy it. Why can’t Hershey offer these online or something? I mean isn’t mint chocolate ice cream a popular flavor? I don’t like the regular Hershey’s bar… too sweet and not chocolatey enough. The Cadbury milk chocolate bar is much better for plain chocolate. The original Mint Hershey’s bar was awesome. Very chocolately, minty with great crunchy bits. It also came in a big, ,thick chunkier version.

Tay - Hershey’s brought back the White Chocolate and Specks at Christmas this year in a Mint Miniatures Mix (limited edition) - it was mixed in with minted milk chocolate and mint special dark bars.
However, you might find the Candy Cane Kisses are really what you’re looking for - it’s a white chocolate with mint flavoring to it and little nonpariels in it. Look sharp as they were also a holiday limited edition item.
You maybe be able to find them on eBay.
I have a recipe for Hoilday Mint Log that was in a magazine years ago, and it calls for the Cookies and Mint candy bar. Am I able to order this. It is excellant and would be glad to share with others if interested. Please let me know.

a few years back i tried the hershey’s cookies and mint chocolate bar…i’ve been looking for this bar again and have been unable to find it in any stores.i hope hershey reintroduces this again….does anyone know where i could possibly find these bars…..
