Candy Blog is Munchcast!

imageIn case you haven’t been following along at the new show launches at This Week in Tech, they’ve got a new one called Munchcast.

The show is about, well, munchies! It’s hosted by Cammy Blackstone and Leo Laporte.

I’m on this week’s episode, it’s only their eighth and I’m honored to be part of it. It’s all about the All Candy Expo and the new candies introduced there.

Check it out!

(I haven’t listened to it all yet as I’m hopping on a plane in a few minutes ... but I had a fun time recording it.)

  1. I am looking for a candy that was popular in the 50’s - theres is an older lady that that I work with that is looking for a candy that looks like a tube of lipstick - she that it had a fruity flavor and soft texture (not really chewy, she did not discribe it to well) if you know anything about what i am talking about please let me know. Thanks a lot!

Wow, I had totally forgotten about that Oreo Cakester. Yuck. I mentally blocked that one from memory for a reason!

  3. Elizabeth - I know what you’re talking about. The type of candy is called Compressed Dextrose, kind of like SweeTarts but a little grainier.

    Is this what you meant?

Sera - apparently some folks LOVE the Cakester. To each his own, as long as they keep making the regular Oreo ... and covering it in chocolate.
